East Brunswick Butterfly Survey

About

The Friends launched the first town-wide Butterfly Survey in 2017 to better understand the town's butterfly fauna. They called on everyone in the town (and anyone that wants to visit) to become Citizen Scientists and help document what butterflies occur in East Brunswick and where and when they were found.

An iNaturalist project called East Brunswick Nature is where anyone can post their photos. The Friends is interested in any sightings anywhere in town, from backyards to parks.

As part of the Butterfly Survey, the Friends created an Online Field Guide to the butterflies seen so far at the East Brunswick Butterfly Park. This is a work in progress, and the butterflies are in no specific taxonomic order.
